- Composition: Made of 94% Acrylic, 5% Polyester and 1% Spandex. This 2x2 acrylic rib knit fabric (2 knit x 2 purl stitch) includes one 6.5 inches wide x 33.5 inches long (16.5 cm x 85 cm) strip. Folds to 3.25 inches (8.25 cm), 2 mm thick.

Thick knit fabric, for cuffs or neckline. Nice hand feel and thickness. Will be perfect for heavy winter clothing. There is a ridge in the middle of the piece, so you have a guide where the middle is when sewing. The edges are done well, won’t be fraying are anything like that. The fabric is decently stretchy, but not so much that it will soon lose its elastic qualities. The color is a smooth white, not bleached white but not cream either.
First thing to know about this is that this is a *heavy* rib knit. I was looking for something I could use on sweatshirts, as the listing suggests, and this is definitely more suited to fall and winter outerwear.It seems to be nice quality, it's got a good stretch, but it's not soft or pleasant to touch. It feels like dense polyester. The ribbing also has a line down the center, which is something I've not seen in other ribbing I've bought. It's not very noticable from one side, but it is clearly there. It doesn't seem to help with folding either, so I'm not sure what it's purpose is.If you need something for mittens or jackets, this stuff is perfect, it's too heavy and dense for hoodies or the like.
